Will You Marry Me

I love seeing people propose! I was scrolling through Instagram one day I see that a family friend posted a photo announcing she is engaged! My thought when seeing this was, “YAY! Finally!”. It makes my heart so happy when people have found their person.

A Short Engagement

About a week goes by and I find out that she and her now fiancé have decided to get married in one month and they would love for me to be the photographer. WOW! It’s such an honor when a friend asks you to be a part of capturing such an important moment in their life. Naturally I said, “YES!” and had the honor and privilege of photographing their beautiful elopement on the sunny coast of California!

Wedding Day!

Paige and Jamie’s wedding was held on the sand in Laguna Beach, CA. A chalkboard sign indicated a marriage was about to take place along with two rows of greenery- creating an aisle for the bride to walk down! It was simple, elegant and all about their love for another in Christ Jesus. On either side of the aisle stood about 12 members of their family. It was hard not to choke up as Paige walked down the sandy aisle. The officiant was Paige’s uncle who gave a touching account of his niece and the man she was choosing to marry, Jamie. They said “I Do”, exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss! Jamie’s mom lives in London so she wasn’t able to make it to the wedding. But, because of technology, she was able to witness her son agree to ‘forever’ with the love of his life!

Party Time

After the ceremony, there was a small dinner reception at ‘Trevor’s At The Tracks’- a local favorite in San Juan Capistrano! The table was beautifully decorated with gold chargers, black linens, greenery and candles. It was the perfect setup for an intimate celebration and good conversation. As they ate and drank, a few people gave toasts and reminisced on how the couple met and how they fell in love! After dinner, the bride and groom cut the cake and shortly after dessert we sent them off with a glow light exit! Their elopement is such a sweet reminder of what a wedding day is all about- love. It is a covenantal commitment to love that person that way Christ loves us- unconditionally.
